i'm at the part where sans points me towards further south to lead me to snowdin, but there isn't any other option except north and west. is it supposed to go like this or do i need to restart?

Hi! This may seem a dumb question: But I ran the game and am stuck in the "who are you" starting screen? No matter what buttons I press or what I click with the mouse, I remain stuck here. Do you have any idea what I can do?
Ok, I did everything people here in the comments said to do to find Sans and Grillbys, but nothing worked. I tried to get lost, I did the forest part the right way, I tried to use a different soul and changed my choices... but it never works!!!!
Sans only shows himself to you if Papyrus likes you, and you'll only get the offer to Snowdin if Sans likes you. To meet with Papyrus you have to linger in waterfalls. :)
i think ya hafta go east-north-east-north-north. you'll eventually find him. then, he'll tell you where to go next after that, just follow it and you'll see him again
i seem to be unable to continue past counting to sixteen with the matriarch? edit: it looks like orange colors don't have the glow/heart thing, which was preventing me from going forward

you're supposed to just continue on like normal and search for the soul piece, then afterwards, you can go to snowdin in the menu thing
